can i cut off my sb z leds?

i have a sound blaster z, it has two irritating red leds. could someone tell me, is it safe to snip those clean off the card? i don't care about voiding my warranty,

Cut them off, no damage will occur, got the same annoying leds on my recon 3d card, sorry had the same annoying leds.

You could cut the LEDS (the lights) off from the card or you could get some liquid tape and smother 6 coats of it on the LED, bend the LED back then put 6 layers on let to dry then bend the back then no morel light

Yep all kinds of alternatives, including your suggestion.

I used a bit of brown shipping tape as cover. Still visible, but not blasting.

Small pieces of black electrical tape will do wonders to alleviate the glare. They are also easy to remove and don't void the warranty.

thanks for the responses guys. didn't care about the warranty and i can't imagine wanting this card to light up for any reason, so i guess i'm the permanent solution type :/
