Can i do some overclocking for Xeon E3 1231 v3?

Hello,

Could somebody assist me on overclocking my Xeon E3 1231 v3?
My motherboard is ASUS Vanguard-B855 and 8gigs of Ripjaws X.
My CPU cooler NH-U12S. Is this cooler sufficient enough to do some OC?

someone did OC it to 3.8Ghz . Dont expect too much from it.

I thought they were locked CPUs... You might be able to alter the boost clock at most maybe...

You cant really oc a xeon processor. Depending on your motherboard you can have it run the max turbo frequency on all 4 cores though. To do this you can go into the bios and change the multiplier from 34 to 38. Some newer boards will only support you do change it to 36 though.
