Yep, another of those endless bent pin questions. Sorry,. but I'm another victim of mobo mfgrs failure to warn customers about handling LGA sockets. I tried to put the "protective" plastic cap back on socket after inspecting a new board for bent pins. I got it on backwards and didn't notice and installed the CPU and of course it didn't boot cuz I bent the pins.
QUESTION: I bought another board. Can I test the above CPU in the new board to see it its fried? Or will that CPU cause damage to the new board. I doubt it but I'm not sure.
