Hello,

I have a budget of a $1,000 and I'd like to buy a whole new computer for gaming, preferrably one that I do not need to upgrade the next 2-3 years.

I'd like something decent where I can play Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Warzone for example without lag!

I'd prefer if I bought a CPU that will be decent even 5 years after for example rather than buying like a core i5 or equivalent as I do have another computer for other purposes outside of gaming.

What I have:
I've got few external 1-2TB Hard Drives so I can/will probably use those as well with my new PC to save up some money over buying a very large SSD.
I have 2x Monitors, Keyboard, Mouse & Headset.
I have a NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti (but probably is too weak for the game requested above, so I'm fine with buying a better GPU)
I have 16 GB DDR3 Ram

Thank you very much in advance! :giggle:

Solution
What about this website? https://multitech-lb.com/product-category/pc-parts/ is there good enough parts or setup I can get from there? even if I had to up my budget above $1000 by a bit (maximum $1500 but preferably lower)
That site is even worse. Here is what I could compile for you...

CPU - 10700F............................................................................................................... $233

Cooler -

Mobo - MSI H410 Pro................................................................................................$80

RAM - Kingston Hyper X Predator..............2x8gb 3200mhz........................$78

SSD - Kingston...
I would sell that RAM and GPU and add the money to the budget...

So there are two ways of this in my opinion, first one is this:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/JjxRgt
the second one is this:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/H4fn8J
The first one as you can see has a graphics card,3060Ti which is much stronger than the 1050 Ti that you have now,but it has a 10400 which is not overclockable, but will do the job fine
The second one has a beast of i7,which you can overclock to 5Ghz and more, has water cooling, but doesnt have a upgraded graphics card.
So with the first option you are gonna be stuck with a rlly good gpu with a decent cpu for 3 years, which will definitely do the job in gaming for 4-5 years without upgrading.
With the second option ur gonna have a overkill cpu, with a bare minimum of a gpu which will at first be worse in gaming than the first list,BUT when you upgrade that 1050Ti to a lets say 3060Ti,its absolutelly gonna destroy the first list in gaming performance.I simply didnt go with RYZEN since none of the new cpus are in stock, and the ones that are in stock and that are within ur budget range, are worse in gaming than 10400

dont buy anything now .

for 1000$ soon you will be able to get ryzen 3 series (5xxx) and RTX 3070 or RTX 3060 ti

there are shortages now in the market so wait one or two months then buy

it will be double the performance for the same price

dont buy old stuff no matter what people say to you , wait for one month .

Thank you all for your replies, i've took everything into consideration and still haven't bought anything as of yet waiting on certain providers in my place to give the best prices, but unfortunately for me certain stuff I couldn't buy from your list because of shipping issues.

I can buy directly from this website https://macrotronics.net/index.php/computer-parts-c-469 is there good enough parts I can get from there to do this or what do you think? I was unable to do certain amazon/best buy ones due to shipping issues but that website is locally close to me so i wouldn't have an issue with that and it would be the accurate price

Yes you can, it's a little difficult RIGHT NOW.. A few weeks ago the prices and stock on CPUs were better. It will go bak to normal soon, but Intel has good prices right now. I switched to ryzen because it has a better path for upgrade and I needed a computer like a month and a half ago.. Graphics cards are hard to find good prices right now, but if you look hard and pay attention you can still grab one. If you need it right NOW you can get a 10400(i would spend a little more on a 10600k though), a z490 motherboard, 16GB ram, a decent NVME , a good air cooler or AIO (whichever you prefer), a nice mesh case, and a decent video card if you look hard enough for about a grand.. Or if you wait a little while you can go ryzen, right now they're impossible to find in stock.

Here is something I threw together real quick, its like 1050$

Would just like maybe make small suggestion for your thoughts. When I build my new pc some parts not in stock so I slowly over months bought parts at good prices here and there. For my eyes to look back this was a very bad idea. Much better idea to buy together as much as you can so you can find out if parts work ok. Was very so lucky everything good but some parts I have for months and could not return if didn't work. Maybe I could rma but did not want to do that really. Very sorry if this too off the topics just something wanted to share. Best of luck with new build and enjoy :)

I checked that website. The stocks on that website are pretty poor. Just not enough hardware to choose from.

Thank you for your reply, I might ask another store for the list you've sent above however is there anything missing? I seen that others had suggested "coolers" but I didn't see one in your list.

I guess a non-water/liquid cooler might be better for me as I wouldn't wanna mess with that stuff!

The processor comes with a pretty decent cooler, which should be enough if you are not overclocking.

Thank you for your continuous posts, I'll most likely go with that store then and with what you recommended, however I'm thinking of paying a bit more and going for the 3070 do you think that's a good idea?

I'll have to search for other places for a good Cooler/PSU but not sure where yet, I'm in Lebanon not sure what stores would have the available ones you mentioned.

Let's say as last despert measures I had to go with them as well for the cooler and PSU, do you think there's anything available in there to buy? (incase they can build the PC infront of me as I've never done that before and would rather that a professional do it so i dont mess something up)

Nope.
I would rather put that extra money towards importing a good PSU.
As for the cooler... https://macrotronics.net/product_info.php/msi-mag-coreliquid-aurora-240mm-argb-p-17337

No idea what your screen resolution is and that's important. I game with a 1920 x 1080P monitor so those are the benchmarks I go by. It's also important that you do your research on components you plan on purchasing to not only make sure they're compatible but also so you have a decent idea of the benchmarks aka reviews on google search.

https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/msi-geforce-rtx-2060-ventus-oc-edition

https://www.thermaltakeusa.com/riing-silent-12-blue.html <-- socket compatibility

As far as motherboards .. it depends on features such as USB ports, capabilities and of course price point. Always go to the manufactures site and see what those boards offer.

For example ..

https://pcandparts.com/gigabyte-h470-hd3-ddr4-lga1200/
Gigabyte H470 HD3 DDR4 LGA1200 $129.00

https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/H470-HD3-rev-10#kf

https://pcandparts.com/gigabyte-z490-ud-ddr4-lga1200/
Gigabyte Z490 UD DDR4 LGA1200 $169.00

https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z490-UD-rev-10#kf

and btw always try to purchase your RAM in sets as in 2 x 4 , 2 x 8, etc ..

Thank you for your replies as well,
I've tried previously to contact "pcandparts" site where you suggested a lot of parts from and their answer is that they're not selling a lot of what's on their website due to currency issues so I've took that website out of my thoughts :/ (I'd need to call them again tomorrow just to be sure! I'll update you on that as it's 8 PM here now and they're closed.)

I also game with a 1920 x 1080, as for the CPU I preferred an i7 or anything else Ryzen equivalent but at the same time I've gotta go with what's available in local store near me, and the fees/prices differences, current websites that I deal with are:

1) https://macrotronics.net/index.php/computer-parts-c-469

2) https://multitech-lb.com/product-category/pc-parts/

3) Site where I can possibly get a PSU/Cooler https://www.katranji.com/EKT/Computer

(Possible Sites that I need to call tomorrow to confirm availability of parts)

4) https://www.syscom.com.lb/productsort/category/25-computer-parts

5) https://pcandparts.com/

6) https://www.gomicrocity.com/pconline.php

7) https://mojitech.net/contact-us/ (Make sure you select USD $ current option from right)

8) http://optionsmegastore.com/ (Potentially good for PSU/Cooler)

The first 3 sites are ones that I've contacted and confirmed their availability, the bottom ones I'll need to call and confirm tomorrow, thank you all for your continous help & discussion!

You got the list for parts already from the first website. For the cooler, grab the one picked out by @Why_Me as its compatible with the socket and should be sufficient for a locked chip.
As for the PSU, this is the only decent unit I could find amongst all the sites you have listed...

Okay thank you, I'll see what I can do about the PSU as I can switch in any other part, for some reason it's hard to find 1 single decent PSU in these stores that has enough power :/
