Can i install 1060 drivers on win 7

Purchased new rig, so I decided to use my Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit O/S. Since i can't purchase win 10 license key as i spent too much on my rig. So wondering whether I can install the GIGABYTE GTX 1060 GAMING G1 6GB drivers in it.
My rig ,
I5 8400,z370 mobo,8gb ram,1TB HDD,gtx 1060 6gb

You can use Windows 10 for free for now, just skip the part where it asks you for a key (option on bottom of screen) during installation. Then when you have the money buy a key from Microsoft or a authorized retailer. I think your going to run into quite a few driver issues trying to put Windows 7 onto that system, not the GPU but the motherboard.

You will have a heck of a time trying to install Windows 7 on there as it doesnt support some chipset stuff out of the box including USB 3.0 ports, so mouse and keyboard will not work to be able to install windows (unless there are USB 2.0 ports that are not provided through a 3.0 hub) In addition Microsoft is blocking security updates for 7th Gen and later CPU's so your system will remain unpatched

Windows 10 works forever unactivated it just has some text in the bottom right corner saying that it needs to be activated. Windows 7 isn't supported on your system so just getting it to work properly is going to be a challange.

it's a loose guide, and most likely is mobo/manufacturer dependant, Which mobo do you have?
It may have Win 7 drivers for it, and so it may work.

Snipergod made a good point, if it has 2.0 USB ports which most modern mobo's do, then you may still be able to get keyboard mouse to work just fine.

It's not impossible, but some research is needed to make sure you have drivers to get most things working and potentially get fixes for those other things that don't work. List your exact specs, but specifically your mobo

You'll be fine for awhile, been using Windows 10 free on a second system since October 2017 without issues nor even the watermark.
