Can i leave my graphics card with only the display drivers installed?

What happens if i just only leave the display drivers installed for my gtx 570 and do not install anything else , not even the graphics drivers?

It seems that my vga is idling at 50degrees with the grpahics drivers installed.

Display drivers and graphic drivers are the same thing. But 50C idling is not too bad for that card. It was a hot running card. And if it has never had its thermal paste replaced since it was new, it probably needs that done. I used to have 2 of them in SLI.
