you didn't mention your mobo.....if you have a newer 990fx chipset or an sli board with a nvidia chipset why dont you drop an extra 30$ bucks on

I have a MSI 870 g45 which i plan replacing later on IF i decide wether xfiring is worth it

And xfiring those 2 is pretty nice FPS but its harder to sell/future proof value

The GTX 570 can max BF3 with no issues.
I did a thread here on Tom's for the BF3 beta and tested numerous cards with different user configs.

If i get the 6950 and unlock ir to a 6970, and in a year and a half i decide to xfire it, what mobo should i get for 100-150 bucks? almost since its gonna be in like a year, should i get a 6 core or quad core? thanks!

If you can pick up the 2.5GB version of the GTX 570 it will stomp the 6950.

It's not a normal 6950 card, its an OC'd 6970 basically at a 150 dollars less in SLI vs the 570 in SLI, also the 6950 scales better in xfire so i think the choice is obvious now. 😛

As you can see, its only 1-3 fps diffrence with SLI/xfire of the cards, now the 6950 will be unlocked to 6970 plus OC'd so it WILL be faster for around 150 bucks less!

Nvidia do have simply epic drivers (coming from experience with 6990/6970 and 4870 crossfire solutions)

ive had NO cfx issues or sli issues with either of the latest gen

Ok guys, thank you, both of you, (to whom do i give best anwser? lol)

So i have ******* FINALLY decided, i will be getting the 6950's toxic's to oc and unlock them, then on my summer job get that samsung 27", hopefully that 200$ mobo will be less, another toxic and do the same thing with it, 4 more gigs of ripjaws ram @ 1600,

and now i need to decide, in a couple of months, quad core o 6 core? Prolly FX series with that motherboard right?
