Question Can i "merge" 2 laptops into 1? PLS help

Long story short i have 2 laptops: 1 full, and 1 without case. The thing is the full laptop is a HP, but it is awfully slow (AMD E1-6010 APU....), and i want to swap the whole motherboard out with the other motherboard (the other is one from an Asus with an i7 and a gtx 960M). So what do you guys think, with a little DIY can i solve the problem or should i just try to scavenge an Asus case? thx

Transferring the mobo isnt going to work. Screen, touchpad, keyboard, and speaker connectors will be different, if it even fits.
