My pc is using a corsair cx 600, and I have heard that this is a horrible card for overclocking. I was just wondering if it would pose a large risk for overclocking my r9 380. If it helps any, My motherboard is an ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS motherboard.
While you can overclock, I'm not sure you'd be able to push it far. AMD gpu's pull a lot of power, and moreso when they are overclocked. Remember you're also having to power your cpu and other drives.
If you're overclocking you want to make sure your power supply is steady and not prone to fluctuating on the 12v rail, if you've heard that the PSU is bad then you may want to upgrade it if you're looking to get any good gains from overclocking.
