Hello,
i have an intel 82845g graphics card. so far everytime try to play a game it says my driver is not supported even though i just updated it. i cant afford a new card. what do i do?

The Intel 845GL chipset (intel 82845g graphic core) came out back in 2002. It lacks Pixel Shader 3.0 support which is basically required in all modern games; it came out back in 2003. Intel graphic cores are basically bad for games because they are meant more for business use than gaming. There even back in 2002 it was considered weak. Nowadays it is simply considered obsolete.

At best you can probably play some games there were released no later than 2004 assuming Pixel Shader 3.0 is not a requirement. The older the game, the more likely are able to play it. The Intel 845GL chipset should not have issues playing classic games from the 1990's (more or less).

There are a couple of good games that Intel 82845G Graphics Controller can play, as blank as a statement as that was, I'll give you some examples to give you an idea. GTA 3/Vice City/San Andreas, Need For Speed Underground/Underground 2/Most Wanted, Postal 1/2, Half Life 2, Flatout, Colin McRae Rally 2004, Bejewled games, Minecraft, Halo 1 (Combat Evolved), Hitman 1/2/Contracts, and probably any other game before 2004 and maybe a few in 2005 & 2006. The graphics is obsolete, so you won't be able to play anything like Bioshock, Assassins Creed, etc.

I used to have Intel 82845G Graphics Controller a long time ago (2006, maybe beginning of 2007) and those were some games that were supported by it.
