I want to connect my printer to a wifi network in my house.

Can I just plug a standard usb wifi adapter (e.g. http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/linksys-linksys-wireless-n-usb-adapter-ae1200-ca-ae1200-ca/10278025.aspx?path=95f3672856f856e45fe892b6fe01a09ben02) into the usb slot in my printer, to connect it to the wifi network?

Thanks.

Solution
If you hard wire it (ethernet) to your router, it will be seen on your network an can be accessed by any pc on your network. No need to spend more money!
Thanks for the response. What about:

- Hooking the printer up via an Ethernet cable to a router. Would this allow it to communicate with another router that is connected to my computer?

- Using a wireless print server (e.g. http://www.staples.ca/en/TP-LINK-150Mbps-Pocket-Sized-Wireless-Print-Server-TL-WPS510U/product_170643_2-CA_1_20001?kpid=170643&cid=PS:SBD:GS:n:n:SBD:58:21800&kpid=170643&gclid=Cj0KEQiAts-kBRCbgrXc1rnXw7MBEiQAnFqTdqKfcBOuAR6zT3ZeP9NcmpU4SOOwIRcf-bdRysfWAPcaAo078P8HAQ)? These are rather expensive though.

Thanks.

EDIT: Thanks reedo_43, I just saw your post. But print servers seem to be rather expensive. I'm looking for a low cost solution.

There's also something like this, I guess, right?. http://www.amazon.ca/Vap11g-wireless-Dreambox-Adapter-Shipping/dp/B008140GOC
