[SOLVED] Can i replace the thermal pad on my gpu with thermal paste?

Hey so im about to take apart my gpu and putit in a kraken liquid cooling case, can i use thermal paste on the components that have thermal pads instead?

Probably not.
Thermal pads usually are on vram modules and power delivery components.
Pads have specific thickness. With thermal paste you will not be able to achieve same thickness.
This will result in poor or no contact between heatsink and cooled component.
