I have an i5-3570, 1 500gb SSD, 16 GB RAM and a 350w PSU, can i run a RX550 on this without needing to upgrade my PSU? Btw, only 1 small LED for the power button, wont make a difference but i think its worth mentioning.

Also, any other better GPUs i could run with a similar or lower wattage? And if my PSU cant handle it, can you give me lower wattage alternatives?

Yes, you should be okay.

250w (or better) recommended. Clutchc is spot on, knowing the make/model of the PSU would help us confirm.

Problem is, this PC is prebuilt (its an upgrade for a friends pc, he bought it prebuilt). All i know is its a 350W, and i cant open it because he has warranty for ~2 months still.

Coming back to this, i put my system specs into a PSU calculator and put a RX550, and it was just 220W so im probably fine. Hell, even a RX560 fits. Sadly, a RX580, wont work on this build.

I'm confused. You say you don't want to open his PC to look at the PSU nameplate, but you'll have to open it to install the graphics card. Are you going to wait until the warranty expires and then open it to install the card?

A good quality 350W PSU should have a 6-pin connector and be able to handle faster cards than the RX 550. The GTX 1650 for example. What pre-built PC is it?
