Can I run Day Z standalone?

I was wondering if I could run Day Z standalone. I've heard that the system requirements from most sources aren't accurate and that the game is horribly optimized. Please tell me if I can run it and if so what settings. Here are my system specs:

CPU: AMD FX-6300 6 core 3.5 ghz
RAM: 8gb
GPU: EVGA GTX 750 ti 2gb VRAM

I haven't played the latest patch (released last week). But I can say that it's still not the best optimized game. A 6300 with a 750ti will be no where near high settings on 1080.
