I wonder if I can run the card with a generic power supply with some Core Elite name and shit. I think it's made in China? It's a 600W power supply. I know there is some AMPS requirements and I don't about power supply. Any help or suggestion?
can't afford a branded one. I wanna know if the card will run on the generic PSU? So the AMPS doesn't matter? I just read that GTX 760 requires at least 30A on a 12V rail with 500W. I don't understand what 30A and 12V means.
It will surely run if it has 1x6-pin and 1x 8-pin PCIE Power connector but as I said its dangerous if you'll power your GTX 760 to a generic PSU, if I were you I'll lower my GPU instead of buying a high-end graphics card and power it up with generic one
The power supply is the component that you don;t want to cheap out. Buying a generic PSU can damage your components like your new GTX 760, the 600w PSU is enough for GTX 760 since NVIDIA cards are low in power usage, I'd suggest to get atleast PSU that has 80-bronze certified, Corsair CX600 is good for your component if you want less cables hanging around your case get Corsair CX600M a modular one
Nvidia calls for 500 watts. And two 6 pin connectors are required, a 600 watt unit should have more than enough connectors. http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm
I would suspect that almost all PSU's are made in China. But a cheap no name brand wouldn't be ideal.

Why do I need to have a 8 pin? GTX 760 only needs 2-6 pin, right? will 660 enough?
At some GTX 760 requires 2x-6pin the Asus GTX 760 DirectCUII requires only 1x 6-pin which is cool. Yeah its enough you don't really need to have 100fps the high quality settings is stunning too. I just want to remind you that when buying a gaming PC you need to search, find value components (ex. premium gaming motherboards doesn't affect gaming come on !) and build a balanced pc (buying components w/o cheaping the PSU because PSU is the must quality to buy component)
