[SOLVED] Can I Run Windows 10?

Specs..

Windows 7 64 bit
CPU: Intel i7 920 @2.66ghz
Motherboard: Intel x58 Chipset
Memory: 12gb RAM ddr3

I know my processor is old but my local computer store told me that my CPU will run Win 10. Upgrading to a new system is not an option for me at this time, as I would prefer to upgrade my OS.

I also forgot to ask if I can migrate my files and setting from Win 7 because I do not want to start a completely fresh install of Win 10.

Yes you can, you just to create a bootable installer for the OS using Windows Media Creation Tools.

I know people running win 10 on Core 2 Duo from 2008 so yes, yours should be fine

If you upgrade win 7 to win 10 then you keep all your settings as is. Don't boot off the USB, run it from inside windows explorer and it will upgrade 7 to 10.

Though you could upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10, it is more safe to run a fresh install of Windows 10.
It might save you from weird errors in the future.
