New Asus X570, all air cooling. Five fans available.
Building a new rig. I have more fans than fan headers.
I have an open four pin header labelled AOI Pump. Specification says 1A 12 Watt Full Speed. Can I use that header for an additional fan, so long as I respect the ground header?
Thanks everyone for your expert advice, and thanks Tom's Hardware for making this forum available.

Solution
Yes you can but as you wrote 1a 12w FULL SPEED.
So you will not be able to control that fan.
It will run full speed all the time.

It's ok to run fans splitters such as this

1a fan headers can supply 2-3 fans depending on the total of the fans amperage draw.

Or something like this but remember
You can run upto the amp rating limit for a fan header.
(Best to give some leeway on the amperage)

In this case it would be best to be hooked to a 2a header as long as you can control it and all fan will run the same speed with only 1 showing the rpm.
