[SOLVED] Can I stream CS:GO

Hello everyone this is my first time posting on tomshardware. Sorry for my bad English.

Here is my question: Can I stream cs:go with 144Hz monitor still getting full 144Hz. What should I expect? Here is my pc specs:

Intel Core i5-2500k
Gigabyte RX 580 8GB
12GB DDR3 RAM

The refresh rate of your monitor (144Hz) is not affected by the streaming process. In this case, when you do streaming your monitor still working at 144Hz but the streaming quality will go in 720 or 1080p at 30 or 60FPS.

All depends of your internet connection (upload bandwidth) and configuration of the streaming software.

In my case, I have a 144Hz monitor and I do streaming (CS:Go, Overwathc, APEX, BF) at 720p@60FPS.

I think you would stand a better chance of streaming, if you swapped that CPU out for a 2600k, or 3770k, for the extra 4 threads. Polypheme covered the rest.
