Can I take a secondary hard drive from one computer and place in another and be able to read the data with the new computer. Both running windows 10 pro.

Solution
There is a chance you might get a message about ownership and need to be logged in as an administrator the first time you access it.

But yes as a rule, as long as there's no encryption which is normally the case.

Thanks for your response! If I get that message how would I Run as Administrator?

If you are the only user then odds are good you always log in as an administrator, most people do.

All that will probably happen is a pop up saying to need admin rights to access the drive and you'll have to click yes or something.
After the first time it shouldn't happen again. In the past on other OS versions there was a procedure for taking ownership but I don't think it applies under windows 10.
