Can I upgrade my Laptop Processor?

I've got an ancient (About six or seven years old that is) Dell Inspiron 1440 running an Intel Core 2 Duo t6600 2.2ghz processor, just curious if there are even any replacements/upgrades out there for this old thing anymore. I've replaced almost everything else in the laptop and the processor is feeling like its starting to give way. Want to prepare for the worst.

Anyone know?

No because CPUs are smoldered on for laptops.

You maybe lucky your mother board appears to be able to take another processor if your motherboard resembles the one in the link should be able to replace it. If not you could replace the motherboard would more than likely fit your laptop but most CPU's are soldered to the motherboard these day.
