can i upgrade to a phenom with this motherboard

can i upgrade to a phenrom quad with this mother board A8M2N-LA (NodusM3) ? please help. i have a 5200 x2 right now. im a gamer. there is a ipdate for my motherboard bios just this month. so any more opinions? im not going quad until feb or so. im waiting for amd to update the quads. so what do you guys think?

I would asssume it has a socket AM2, in which case i'm pretty sure you could..... but wait for other's opinions......

I would not gamble on it. You have an hp board, which is not listed on asus' website. The phenom might post as "unknown cpu", but I don't know how it will run on your board. Couldn't find a bios update on the hp website for your board.
