[SOLVED] Can I use 9900K processor with Asus H270F Motherboard?

I am currently using asus rog strix h270f mother board with i7 7770K processor. Thinking of Upgrading to i9 9900K.

Will I be able to use the same motherboard to use i9 9900K processor or I have to change it?

No, your motherboard only supports up to 7th Gen Intel Core CPUs. Changes were made to the pin layout of the Intel Core 8th Gen and 9th Gen CPUs (such as the 9900K), which means that eventhough they use the same number of pins, and the CPUs physically fits in the same socket, an 8th or 9th Gen CPU wont work in a 7th Gen motherboard (such as yours) because of the changes to the pin layout.

You need a z370 or B360 chipset with a BIOS update to support 9th Gen or a z390 or a B365 motherboard which has native 9th Gen support to use a 9900K.
