[SOLVED] Can i use a 12 pin psu for newer motherboards?

I was wondering if i could use thisFSP500-50AAGA 500w psu (https://www.amazon.com/Gateway-FSP500-50AAGA-80plus-supply-DX4885/dp/B00LSUGQOU) for newer motherboards like the ASUS PRIME B360M-A which seemingly uses a 24 pin connecter.

I take it you had a Gateway DX4885 and now you're swapping out the motherboard?

Well the thing is, i am upgrading my pre-build acer predator g3-604, and i was just thinking about upgrading my cpu, ram and motherboard and still keep my old psu.

Didnt realise the PSU is 12v only. You cant use it with a new system

Same reason people will splash out $2500 for all new parts, $60 each for several games, and then jump through major hoops to keep from spending $100 on a new OS license.
