Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
My system: Product # 4NN43AA#ABA
Omen by HP Obelisk Desktop PC - 875-0034
Motherboard: Version 00 Edoras SSid: 84FD
Chipset: H370
500 Watt power supply

I currently own this ieee1394 Asmedia firewire card(PCIe 1x):

...

I was wondering if i purchased this m.2 A/E key to PCIe adapter:

https://www.amazon.com/M-2-Key-PCI-Adapter-Slot/dp/B07YY7BCGR

and removed the Wifi/Bluetooth card that is in the M.2 A/E slot . If i could plug in the adapter then my Asmedia 1394 card (firewire) would there be any chance of it working in WINDOWS 11? I am not concerned with the mounting for now.

I wouldn’t think it would work at all. It’s made for PCIE. You can’t stuff just any old card onto whatever port you feel like.

The Asmedia ieee1394 is OBVIOUSLY a PCIe 1 lane card. I have used it with my older computer running windows 10 (I have this card in my hand right now)
As for the M.2 key "A" socket. This is the documentation I have found:
M.2 socket 1, Key ID "A", Pin location 8-15, Interface 2x PCIe x1 / USB 2.0 / I2C /DP x4 M.2 Interface, Key and Socket explained (atpinc.com) scroll down to table.
The Same info is found on both the tables from this site: How to distinguish the differences between M.2 cards | Dell US
