[SOLVED] Can I use a PCle cable from Corsair rm850x into my Corsair tx850m?

So I was fortunate enough to get a 3080 Ti from micro center this morning and I've had tx850m psu for a while now and I've misplaced a pcle cable. My friend has a Corsair rm850x and has a extra cable that i can use and i was just wondering if I could use that cable in my power supply. I've read things that I can and I can't and it can mess up your hardware. I'm not trying to ruin my brand new gpu.
