You can use any one that fits in your socket ... since PCIE - 3 for example is they are backward compatible w/ PCIE -2 ....we are talking compatibility with some "in computer terms" ancient stuff.

What mobo and CPU....mobo will tell us what cards you can run and the CPU will let us know where, if there will be any bottleneck

Get the free app CPU-Z and can find Model/part numbers in the CPU and mobo tabs respectfully
