Question Can I use my 8 year old Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 1000W on a new high end build?

I have a Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold - 1000W from early 2011. It works fine on my OC'd 2500k and have had no issues.
I am planning to upgrade to a AMD 3900X (everything included) in July/August 2019.
While the 1000W is great, i was wondering if there have been any "real" changes in PSU tech in the past few years that would require me to get a new one.
I am fine with getting a new one. Just wondering if getting rid of this one would be waste of perfectly a good PSU.

Being it's that old and not the greatest in terms of quality , I would replace it with the new setup.

Why skimp on the most important part of the setup. Change it.

While you can use it, the real decision is whether you should. Seems like you plan to spend quite a bit of money to build a new rig. Why not get a more current PSU to power the new config? Why take the chance?

PSUs can and do become defective over time.

ok thanks guys. I guess the age would simply make it more prone to failure and it would not be worth it to take the risk with a new high end system.
