I have ordered an ice giant prosiphon cpu cooler, but they say you need extractor fans on the top to expell the heat. well my current liquid cooling system H150i Pro has 3 big fans that shoot the hot air out the top. only problem is it has the cpu and the water pipes attached. can these be removed without breaking it, ir even could the cpu cover just hang freely in the case?

Thanks

Who are 'they' when you mention 'they say'?

Edit: I tested this cooler and wrote the article. This was the prototype. I also just got sent the retail version as well.

As for the H150, you can take fans off the radiator, they are just held on wish screws and is likely that you put them on if you installed the cooler.

When I talked to Oscar and Katie, they kept saying something similar, but I didn't really see that when I did my testing - it was minimal difference running push+pull vs. just push. Now, this was with the prototype model at the time and it was much thicker overall, which I would have expected it to be poor on airflow through that chonky boy.
