I have 1 x M.2 WiFi slot on my MOBO.

I have decided that I will use a PCIE type of WiFi Card, which will mean the M.2 WiFi slot will be unused

Can I use that M.2 WiFi slot as M.2 SSD slot

My MOBO already has 2 x M.2 SSD slots. So it is capable of M.2 SSD capability.

I have done my own research on this and have gotten mixed results - there is evidence (through Amazon reviews) that sticking an M.2 SSD on the M.2 WiFi slot will work; however, there have been people saying that M.2 WiFi is only designed for WiFi cards.

Solution
This depends 100% on the capabilities of that particular port on that particular motherboard.

"M.2" is a generic connection format. Storage, WiFi, etc.
There is no guarantee that any particular M.2 port can do both.

What specific motherboard is it?
