Hi,
So the other day I spilled some coffee in my keyboard. I didn't take any measure besides to wiping up the liquid and clean the keys as much as possible. Everything worked fine for a few hours, then the middle row of keys a-l started to dysfunction. When those keys were pressed the keys below them z-m were also pressed..
So this was annoying and I couldn't use the keyboard this way.
So then I opened up the keyboard to see if I could do anything, I noticed the contact layers( I think that's what they're called) had brown coffee stains on them. I would like to clean them, but at the time I didn't have anything to clean them with so I put the keyboard back together. And to my amazement everything was working perfectly fine.
But i want to clean the coffee out because I don't know if it will still do any damage. I read you can use Rubbing Alcohol to clean computer parts. If i use a small amount of 99% rubbing alcohol on the contact layer will my keyboard survive?
OH, my keyboard is the Razer Ornata Chroma if that helps at all.
Sorry for just a long question, thanks in advance for the help!
