Can i use this ram, even thought its not on the QVL

Hi i recently built my first computer.... and not knowing to look at the reviews on ram i soon relized that the x2 4gb sticks of Pny Optima i bought for my rig that they have LOTS of problems. and well that problem has hit me today........ sooooooo

Will work on my motherboard
MB: M5A78L-M LX
i Know that when it comes to specs it should work... but the ram isnt on the QVL.... but is it still ok to use them??

Most of DDR3 sticks works fine on mobo even they arent qvl
but very few times it's cause problems of unstability, etc.
