hey not sure if you understand but they need to patent bullshit like that because else others would patent that bullshit and sue them at a later point..

it's pure defence (offence) 😛

if somethings broken or inept then its de patent laws

hum... a wind power solution....
Data center is powered by 1000000000000 workers who's job is to eat a lot of beans to produce massive
amounts of" human wind" to power the data center.

The name of the project?
F.A.R.T.

[citation][nom]gerchokas[/nom]All this proves that they are not a serious company... Come on Microsoft, behave![/citation]

On the contrary, they are VERY serious. They figure since everyone is suing them they better lawyer up and sue everyone else too. Ahh, the world we live in.

Come on guys, without intellectual property laws to protect ideas and allow the patent holder to extort money out of other people for doing obvious things, there will be no motivation to innovate, then people will just give up and decide to be career hamburger-flippers at McDonalds, because they won't be able to draw "licensing fees" from other people's hard work.

The illustration used in the article looks much more like it represents a data center powered by lightning storms.

Maybe MS could file for a patent for an electricity-powered wind generator to go with their wind powered electricity generator. That way they'd still be able to power the data center during periods of low wind activity.

microsoft really pushing their limit too far, win 8 interface suck, and now they become patent troll, i pray to god so no one will buy their product ever again 😀 hell, i don't even believe in god 😀
