Hi Guys ,
I am surprise to see no one in the whole internet have try this, I bought below system and recently I lost my power supply and mother board to a electric spike or something I have below specs as for now. So No way I am going to buy again another power supply. My problem is the sound blaster is working just fine, but the External Device that allow an XLR microphone to be connected to sound card ( Dynamic Microphone SM58 Shure) is not power up. Clearly on the Sound blaster Manual states this add-on requires 12v PCIe 6 pin connector. BUT my power supply does not have ANY of those... well it had 2x but they used on my Video card.
Now I do have 1 molex cable free, technically 2x molex free if I disconnect my Mechanic HD which I could dispose if Need it.
I bought from ebay a 1 to 1 Molex Male to 6 pin PCIe Female I can attach to the soundblaster they fit, but I am worried I can burn something.
I also bought the Y 2x Molex Male to 6 pin PCIe it says it power MORE Juice since uses 2 molex inputs to feed 1 PCIe
Which one should I try, single 1 to 1 or the Y one? Any risk? any advise, please help!??!
