[SOLVED] Can most graphics card support dual monitors?

Sorry for FAQ but I'm never sure whether graphics cards that have two different types of output can drive dual screens? My existing ancient graphics card with two DVI-I ports has given up the ghost but I never know whether cards like this can support dual monitors - obviously I'd need a DVI to HDMI lead/adaptor for the 2nd monitor:

That one has 3 video outputs, which means it can support 3 displays.
1 VGA output, one DVI and one HDMI.

Number of outputs does not equal number of supported monitors. You have to look at the specs of each GPU how many it actually supports. An example that comes to mind is the GTX 950 with 5 outputs and 4 monitors max support.

That's what I suspected and that it wasn't quite as clear cut as the number of output ports...
