Can PC133 run on an old 83 Mhz FSB ?

Well I ask
Can a PC133 memory run on my old Asus Tx97-xe
at 83 FSB ?

(I think it can it will not be fully used at speeds sence thats all right ?)

133 can run on 66 so you can overclock your fsb reliably. However DDR does not go with SDRs

Putting PC133 ram into a old system is like putting 94% octane into a Gremlin. Your not going to get any performance gain from it.

I know that i will not get any performance speed
its like underclocking the memory . it sucks i know .
but why i ask this question ? because i once try to put some 72 pin EDO memory in old 486 board and the computer not even boot though it works fine with the old 72 pin memory...
Point: I know it will be like putting a V12 engine 8000cc on a VW Bug (Old one) . I only asked if I CAN do that ?

I am running PC100 Memory on an QDI titanium 1b+. It was designed to run at 66MHz but i set the board to 83MHz. It works fine, so i think that it would be the same for PC133 Dimms in your case.

No, its mor like putting nitrous oxide(spelling) in the gremlin and not getting any extra performance.

PC133 should work fine, however there is one thing you should note. Modern DIMMs are four-clock, while older DIMMs were two-clock. I'm not sure what it means (I'll look it up...) but if the board doesn't support four-clock memory, then no PC100/PC133 will work.
If it does work, it'll be more stable at 83 MHz than the original 10ns SDRAM....
