If you're talking about those "locked" files that are distributed on some
CDs, then don't bother as they are cryptographically secure and haven't yet
been cracked.

If it doesn't work, contact Activision/ID Software technical support, or
return the product to the store as defective.

Just make sure you have the '1', 'l', '0' and 'O's correct.

Doom doesn't need a key. Neither does Doom II or Final Doom. Perhaps
you should be more specific in your question.

Translation: I got Doom 3 off Gnutella and now I need a CD key.

Yeah iam brave to. though i have had some bad ones that require a
reboot to get out of it :)

I wouldn't say that's a problem - 'W' and 'VV' have different widths and
are noticably different. On the other hand, the numbers and letters I
listed above tend to look identical under some very common fonts (e.g.
Courier New.)
