Hello,
I have upgraded my RAM after purchasing from 2GB to 4GB. I want to recover my PC to factory settings with all the default stuff. All my recovery discs are working perfectly but after loading recovery discs the windows installation is not starting up.Can we change the RAM to use to default 2GB insteadd of actually removing from the board so that I can restore back to facotry settings.

There is no need to change ram to restore to factory settings. In any case there is no way to turn memory off, only to remove it.
If your pc has failed after adding the extra ram, then either the ram is faulty or your board does not support it or it's the wrong type.
