[SOLVED] Can you connect an M.2 SATA to an M.2 NVMe port?

Hi

I am building a new PC and I have an old M2 SATA Drive. Is it possible to connect this M2 SATA drive to the M2 NVME port on my motherboard? Can I use this as the boot drive? I don't mind the lower speeds of the SATA drive. I just want to save money if possible.

M2 Drive - Samsung 860 EVO SSD 500GB - M.2 SATA
Motherboard - ASUS AM4 TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi)
