Can you make a website about a game?

I have a question if you can make a website just like a community website to talk and answer and ask questions and such over a game but have it like dedicated to a game so if you were making this website around the game Dayz or Arma 3 or something it would be called Dayzfourms.com or whatever would that be allowed or would u need to contact the game dev to make sure the are okay with it ?
