googles first 2 pages told me no but then i found this:

There's an easy way to fix this using the Apple ID manager website. First, you'll need to change your account so that it uses your email address instead of your wife's. To do this, head over to in a web browser, click the Manage your Apple ID button, and sign in with your existing account.
Select the sidebar item labeled "Name, ID and Email Addresses," then select the Edit button next to the "Apple ID and Primary Email Address" field. Here, you will be able to change the primary email address that is associated with your Apple ID. When the changes are saved, you will be able to log back into all of your devices using this new email account.
Next, log out of, then head back to the main page of that site, where you'll see the option to "Create an Apple ID." Click it to go through the process required to set up a new Apple ID for your wife's account.
After everything has been completed, you will have your account with a new ID (and all of your saved items), plus a new, clean account that your wife can use on her devices."

first off i dont use apple but i'm trying to help a friend out. the situation is that when the child got gift cards they were put on the moms account. the daughter now has her own account and wants the 65 bucks on moms account because it's hers. The kids account is setup and its not under the family sharing which i believe is possible based on some reading ive done.

totally lost here so any help would be appreciated.

If the above process (i.e., "easy fix") is not working then something is astray.

Any posts that involve account changes, money transfers, etc. are getting into possible violations of Forum rules regarding assistance with such matters.

"Not under family sharing" is a flag....

No way for us to truly know the full situation and circumstances.

My recommendation is that you have your friend, his wife, and daughter (everyone involved) all go to an Apple store and get help with transferring the gift card amounts.
