You'll find with power supplies that it is difficult to know everything. There are too many models, too many revisions, and a lot of re-branding going around.
With interior pictures you can often identify various designs from the true OEMs, look at the main caps, and some visible internal features. Without reviews and pictures, hard to say. And these are mostly older units (that I can't really find reputable reviews for)
The Seasonic is group regulated, which is an old fashioned way to do it, but it isn't a bad PSU, better than a lot of other lower end PSUs. If you are buying these, then no, I would not be picking up a new 6 or 8 year old power supply. Antec is kind of in the same boat, they've been around a long time and there is nothing that says they can't make a good group regulated supply, I just don't know on that one.
There are a few good EVGA units, like the G2/G3 series, but not the G5. Some of the SuperNovas are good, but not all of them. Keep in mind that is often the difference between good components, good power delivery and bad components or less than good power delivery. And the final category of a true fire hazard likely to blow and take components with it.
I don't think EVGA sells anything that will kill a computer. Seasonic certainly doesn't (I want to say the latest S12III are actually manufactured by another company that is a subsidiary of Seasonic) There are some old Cooler Master and Antec units out there designed for a truly different era that would quickly fail under a modern computer load. Cooler Master is a cooling company, and they make most of the reference cooler designs for AMD and Nvidia and many others, but for the most part, only their very high end power supply units are worth considering.
