I have a psu that has a 220-240v rating. However the cord connecting the psu to the outlet says 10 A 125v. Will it be safe to plug that into a 240v outlet?

Tell us exactly the maker and model number of the PSU. Many are designed to work at both 120 and 240 VAC and adjust themselves accordingly, They may only show the Maximum voltage they can use. But when the unit was shipped to you, it VERY likely had a cord supplied for the electrical system where you live. So, if your home is in North America, for example, the cord will be suited to 120 VAC at something less than 15 A, and its plug will have two parallel flat blades (one slightly wider than the other) and a third round peg, all in a somewhat triangular arrangement.

If that's what you got, and you ever need to use it in a different country with a 240 VAC supply system and very different wall outlet configuration, you will need a...
