Hi :)

I wonder if you guys know of any cases that fit all these criteria:

  • Black, simple style
  • No glass
  • Midi tower
  • ATX
  • Good cable management
  • 2 HHD bays
  • 330 mm GPU
  • Optical bay (I can in theory live with out this)
  • No noise padding, just metal
  • USB 3.2 on frontpanel
  • Below $175
I was looking at be quiet pure base 600, but I fear for thermals with all that noise padding. Not gonna fill it up with fans.
I'm not gonna run a OC build, and no watercooling.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Solution
I think you are good with the be quiet pure base 600
Just add another 140mm front intake to provide sufficient airflow.

I don't see thermal padding as a negative, it just reduces noise.
two 140mm front intakes running at 1000 rpm or so should provide plenty of cooling air.

Your other requirements are met.
I9-12900 will not generate the heat that a 12900K would.

Solution
While I'm a fan of Be Quiet I don't think I'd consider the Pure Base 600 for a system likely to be pulling 350-450W during gaming.

The Fractal Design Pop Air would be my choice for a reasonably priced case with 5.25" drive bay. If you drop the drive bay there are many more options available. The first one that leaps to mind here would be the Antec Flux SE.
