Can you run a GeForce 8400 GS on a 220 watt system?

can you run a GeForce 8400 GS on a 220 watt system?
if not what graphics card would you recommend?.. has to be low profile as i have a space saving acer aspire AX3810

there isnt any graphics card that can run on a 220 watt psu, the minimum is about 300 - 350 watts. even a hd 5450 which has a really low power requirement needs more than 220 watts.

you will have no issue, that card barely draws more power then a case fan. hopefully you don't plan to play modern graphically demanding games on it.

no clue about the 400w comment but its inaccurate.

Minimum of a 300 Watt power supply.
(Minimum recommended power supply with +12 Volt current rating of 18 Amp Amps.)

its a statement to help cover themselves from people using $10 275w PSU off ebay. as you can see from the link below, at load the ATI 5450 test system will not even break 200w (with an OC i-7 processor). The 8400GS uses even less power and I doubt the OP has an OC i7 processor.

I have an aspirex1301....220 watt and i am running the hd 5450 with no issues.... also been advised that i can also run the 6450 with no issues....will give it a go and le you know.
