Anyway we are doing great guns with team THG!
Just need about another 100,000 members to make an attempt on the lead.

Yep. It's an uphill battle without more members and comps. Our advance has slowed. We need more members for total domination.

I had been crunching UD for AMDZone, but now that I know there is a THG team, I've defected. Anyhow, what I really need to know is if there's anyway to delete devices. I've had to create 8 because of reinstalls of my computer and such.

Sidenote: I'll have 3 maybe 4 PIII 866 and 933 crunching for the team.1

Alright guys, just wanted to let you know, I've got 2 PIII 933, 1 PIII866 running 24/7 and a PIII850 laptop running 8 hours a day. I hope this helps out.

Thanks for switching over to the Tom's Hardware Guide team. Regarding deleting devices, I have been searching the UD message boards for this one too, but as of yet it seems that UD hasn't come up with a way to do this yet.

UD doesnt plan on allowing you to delete devices, because they want to have a work unit trail so they can trace work units back. We've talked about it qutie a bit on the UD forums..

has anyone else noticed their stats server has been down for the last few days?

Also, what the hits reprsent? Good interactions between chemical and cell? What? I currently am at 48% done w/ a job and have 38 hits.

Welcome to all the new THG cancer finding dudes!

Hits don't do anything to the score as far as I know, all to do with processor and network mainly.

Close, hits are successful recorded interactions between the reshaped (or conformed) molecule and the target protein. They are then rated in strength and sent to UD, then they go to oxford to be studied.

You dont get any points for hits unfortunatly, but it would totally imbalance things if they gave points for hits.. so its a good thing i guess

Got 52 hits! How come it won't update the THG team thing- I joined it and completed a packet of info, but it still says I haven't contributed anything.

179 work units done accounting for some 21,000 points!

in the past month i had some heniously long work units... one being almost 30 dedicated hours on my athlon 1350@150.
in the end 6 units earned me some 2600 points!
gotta be a record of some kind.

still undecided about joining toms team...
i like to go it alone.

cant wait to install my MCX-462! number crunchin will get a whole lot faster soon!

Excuse me for a moment. I need to drive my ergonomic wheely chair over a sheet of bubble wrap!

Hey I had this one unit that took 72 hours! Points were about the same as you got, I'm not sure.

Currently just on 16000 points with 140 units, some of which I left at another team and can’t be transferred :frown: .

I think points are harder to get now as UD's comparison machine has a new network card! I use to be able to match it and score some high points but now I can barely get 55% of it.

What's w/ teh network card- hpow does it decide that mine sucks compared to the Intel one? Considering they're all teh same..... Anyways, what's teh most hits u guys have gotten?

hehe, well the thing is they dont actually test the network card, they test your internet connection 😉 .

i dont know anybody who gets a higher rating than the control card on the UD stats. Even people on 1 gb cable get like 50.

I posted my record hits up higher on this thread 😉
SOD's by far have the most ive seen (SOD = Superoxide Dismutase)

had a few RAS and tryosine kinase (non C-ABL, non q3)'s go pretty high as well.

Hmm, i dont think it was your NIC card that went to 100. Because like i said they don't rate your NIC card, but your internet connection.

Sometimes if the Agent is unable to benchmark your Network connectino it defaults to 100.

Oh, and another thing, why should you get more credit for RAM??? LoL

Their having to update the stats a day at a time. There is still a day or two worth of stats that haven't been loaded.
