Question Cannot Access Internet

Hi, I have recently moved into student accommodation and I recently purchased a wifi card so I can use the internet. I installed it and downloaded the drivers however I can’t connect to the internet. I receive either 1 of 2 errors when I try to load a page, either the “ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT” or “ERR_NETWORD_ACCESS_DENIED”.

When I moved in I had to log into the ‘student portal’ and enter a code for the internet and it worded fine on my laptop, however it’s not working on my pc.

I assume it has something to do with either the windows defender firewall or avast, but I disable both programs and that hasn’t worked. Any ideas people!? Thanks.

Need to search for wifi networks and select the one you want then enter the security key before trying to browse.

Yes I have done that, and after login I receive the access denied page. Immediately after posting this thread an email was sent out to all residents regarding an internet problem, however like I said before my phone and laptop work fine just not my pc.
