Hello.

I recently asked a friend to format and install Windows 8.1 on my computer. All went well, except when I tried to change the resolution of my screen, that was locked on "1024 x 768 (Recommended)".

After a brief search, I discovered that I had not installed graphic card drivers, but also my computer does not detect a GPU.

My computer is a Tsunami, Intel (R) Core (TM)2 Duo CPU T9600 @ 2.80GHz

Please help, what can I do?

Your desktop doesn't have to have a GPU installed, you have a onboard GPU on your motherboard

1) Google your motherboard make and model with the word "Drivers"

2) Go to the official website if possible.

3) Download the display driver and install.

4) You might need to restart

Hope it works

Thank you for your reply, I will do that, and will reply you shortly.
It also says on display that it's using "Microsoft Basic Display Adapter", don't know if it changes anything from your opinion.

Well, Wayne_d, it does not allow me to install.

I've tried several times to download drivers for my graphic, but it does not allow me, because it does not detect any.

It simply uses the "Microsoft Basic Display Adaptar" and nothing else.

Any other suggestion I might follow?
