Cannot change HDD owner permissions due to user location

Hey fellas, I'm in a bit of a bind here trying to access my old Windows 7 HDD from my new Windows 10 SSD.

For some reason I can't seem to find my account when looking to change the owner of my drive. I tried my hand at the ol' "Take Ownership" context menu technique from the regedit, but nothing came from it.

After 30 mins of exhausting trial and error, I figured out that it's locked to my old desktop (DESKTOP-1VJ8LJD) and thinks I'm still using my old rig.

Y'all got any clue on how to get my desktop recognized as a location? Or do I have to dig up my old tower and try my hands at that?

Solution
You don't do take ownership from regedit. Yes you can't find the Windows 7 account when on the Windows 10 system since that account is nothing but a bunch of files now. It is only an account when you are booted to that disk in Windows. Right-click on your files, go to Properties, Security tab and take ownership from there.
