Hi, I need some advise with my work station. I just built one with Asus Z9PE-D8 WS. Hardware listed:
2 x XEON E5-2695 V2,
2 x Kingston 1600 ECC 8G,
2 x Plextor SSD 512G,
GTX 560 Ti,
Enermax 1350W.
The problem is every time I used the second SSD hard drive, like copying files, the system will all get stuck, only can move the mouse but cannot click on anything, have to reboot.
At the beginning I thought there might be some problem with the hard drive, but I tried to use it on other desktops and it worked perfectly, no black tracks. And then I also put other HDDs and SSDs as the second hard drives on this Asus motherboard, they all just got stuck as well. So there must be something wring with this motherboard.
Well, I changed the Sata port, I tried everything I can do and I think it might be the Bios caused the problem as the shopkeeper where I bought installed a new bios for me so as to use the new Xeon E5 v2 chips, and another store I asked mentioned about have to install an extra drive for the hard drive for the new bios.
The shopkeeper said he will report this problem to Asus, but I don't think they can solve this in a short time. Is anyone know how to fix this, or know about this drive mentioned?
Best regards
