Im glad you got things going. My favorite ink is from
alotofthings.com and I buy their bottled bulk ink. You could email Joe
and ask about their cartridges to insure they are filled with
formulabs ink for your model. But personally I would just get a fresh
bottle or two of their bulk inks.

I bought my blanks from www.inkjetgoodies.com

hope this helps

Joe at alotofthings.com confirmed to me that all the tanks he sells are
definately filled with Formulabs ink. If you don't want to go to the extra
expense of tanks from inkjetgoodies, buy a set or two from alotofthings.com
and then start refilling once they run low. Email me and I'll be glad to
send you a pdf file showing how easy it is to refill Canon tanks.

Great... thats good to know. Last time I talked with Joe about this,
he informed me that not all cartridge models are filled with
formulabs..

Great way to get good cartridges and some ink to boot.

When you purchase the cartirdges with ink do they have a plug in them you do
you have to drill a hole and buy plugs? I'm not looking forward to trying
the make the hole for a plug. I had a friend at work drill the holes in my
last set. To tell you the truth I refilled the cartridges that came with
the puter for more than a year without a problem. Is there any easy way to
make a hole in the cartridges?

If you purchase the blanks that i mentioned from inkjetgoodies, they
come with the premade hole and fitted plug. Just fill it and cork it
with the supplied plug

There is a plastic ball in the top of the cartridge. A sharp pointed
instrument makes for easy removal. First peel back the label on
top. The hole can be resealed with a rubber plug or what I did\
was to tap it with a 10-32 tap and seal with a stainless steel
screw. I have done 10 refills on the original cartridges with
no problems.

I assume that the warning is similar to the one on my i950. You can continue
printing for quite sometime after the original warning. eventually, you will
get the "final" warning saying the color is out. Change then, or whenever
your colors look awful.
